Lets get Sketchy Challenge #18:

I decided to use some Easter pics from 2010, from just before my hubby was deployed :(
I also used this challenge for a Colorful Creations Challenge on the Ning site, knocked out 2 birds with one stone, so to say LOL ...

I used a lot of scraps in this one! It was perfect to get down size my scrap tub ... although I ended up barely making a dent in the tub, but oh well ...

I WON on Colorful Creations!!

I found out that I won a Challenge over at Colorful Creations for June!

I won with this:

My Canvas that I scrapped ... the challenge was Boys Only ... meaning that we had to do something with canvas on it or a canvas but... It had to be only about a boy, so I chose my son. This is now hanging in my sons room!

I did another for our family room:

This one has no pictures on it, but it's my center piece for our family picture frames!  Our theme throughout the house is red, white, gold and black. It's actually a rather nice color combo providing you chose your shades well and make only certain items black. My window curtains are a goldish color, which leaves the room looking very open and not so dark!

HAPPY 4TH OF JULY & A Creation

Hello All!

I'm so excited!! 
 HAPPY 4th of JULY ... I hope everyone is having a fantastic holiday, I know I am.
We are getting ready to go to our neighbors house here on base for a BBQ (YAY) ... Lots of yummy food, which I am making Fruit Salad, and my hubby is making his delicious BBQ Pulled Pork (even more yummier!)

Bet before I head over there, I wanted to post my latest creations!

I had fun with one! As I always do for challenges, and they all challenge me, as right now I don't have many supplies for paper crafting since my soon to be ex sister in law stole a bunch of my supplies while I was out of the state! Talk about one mad woman when I got home!  So now I'm re-building my supplies and working on my crafting room! Yup ... I finally got my own crafting room!! I'm so excited, I'm in the process of organizing the room and bring my desk up (which is very heavy!)

Creations for RRR & Sentimental Sundays

Hello,

I have 2 cards that I just completed for 2 different blog challenges. Really Reasonable Ribbons & Sentimental Sundays :)

First up is: RRR51 Challenge: Childrens Birthday W/ a Ribbon Theme... This one was so fun to do, considering my son's bday is coming up, along with my nephews birthday!

Ribbons Used:  Blue w/green dots (above the Giraffe), Twine around the feather & as the balloon strings.

       Sentimental Sundays Challenge #109
                 Be Patriotic Challenge:

I used a patriotic turtle, which I colored by hand and used a glitter pen that I got while I was in Japan (glitter highlighter pen), USA digi stamp, which I can't remember where I picked this one up at honestly, (sorry), I also colored this by hand, in the circle pop up is my sentiment: America the Beautiful. I layered this sentiment with ribbon, card stock (2layers) and a scalloped circle. (i kinda cheated, I saw something similar in the store and just copied the idea hehe, it's cute though :) )  I also used the glitter pen around the edge of the card as a final touch.

I'll be posting again, as I am at 48 followers and I only need 2 more followers to reach my 50!!

Creations

Hello! And an early Happy 4th of July!!

I have a new card that I created for my sons birthday. His birthday is July 8th :)  

A funny story, I started to go into labor with him on the 4th of July but interestingly enough within 3 hours after I got to the hospital my labor stalled! On the night of the 7th they had to induce me and he was born 8 July @ 11:23am, the funniest part was, I was born April 13th @ 11:26am, now is that weird or what?  This Birthday is very special for 2 reasons! The 1st being he's turing 10!! (YAY) and 2nd is his Dad (My husband) is back from deployment!! YAY (very loudly said!)

Ok, here is the special card that I made for my sons 10th Birthday!

Do you think he's gonna like it? I hope so!

Blue is his favorite color in whole world and he has a sense of humor, hence the funny duck :) LOL
I used a bunch of misc papers (mostly scraps), CTMH buttons and that's my hand writing for the "Happy Birthday" which I made pop up with "Glue Dots: Pop Ups".

Creations & A Give Away

Ok now onto some new creations, LO's that I have created with my Memories Suite V3!

My 2 boys, Lane and John!

if it's by himself.

I'm no good at making em in.

This one was tough for me, as for the challenge it was all about circles, but I didn't want it to be plain, so I added a ton of layers to make it look super cool,  like my boys :)

 I completed this challenge for the Colorful

Creations main site, we had to have stars, numbers and a triangle in the LO, my triangle 

is the arrow. 

My son loves all these elements, his fav colors are blue and silver, loves stars and glitter and ropes as you can tell by the pic! He was creating

his own swings on a tree at his grandpa & grandma's house :)  I really can't believe he is 

turning 10 in July! The time flies by so 

quickly :(

 "Spring Cleanup: PG 1"

Another created for Colorful Creations, this one is supposes to have the great ourdoors in some way on the LO, and it's a 2 pager Challenge, the 2nd page is below :)

My hubby & I were doing some yard work out back for the post spring cleanup here on Fort Carson, CO.

This pic was taken after we were done and I changed, I had to go to the store and I wasn't gonna go with dirt all over me LOL ....

The 2nd part to the LO above! SO cute my hubby working with the weed eater :) I was taking a break and wanted to snap a couple of pics for challenges going on over at Colorful Creations ( the link to the site is above in the first part of my post, labeled "Colorful Creations"

We ended up completing so much to our back yard that day, we lined the walkways with 

cool colored rocks (native to Colorado), mowed and weed eated the grass and grass line,

filled in some holes that a neighbors dog dug, and I created my planting space :)

This was a designer challenge

 I decided to use pinks since I love the color pink

and I thru in there some hints of yellow and green to through off the pink, along with a

lil bling .... Every woman has to have 

a lil bling, LOL :)

All of the challenges that we complete have a sketch and/or a recipe to follow, if you don't follow them, you don't get an entry into the monthly drawing for the main RAK, which is usually given by one of the sponsors!

I'm Back!! And with some cards & LO's :)

Hello Agian!!!

It's been awhile since my last post.  I have the internet again though :) YAY ... Now i'm not so bored!

I've had medical problems, but I'm back now :)

I started scraping again, mostly cards and digi's.  I reciently came back from Washington State, unfortuantly it was for a family tragedy, my grandpa died on Easter Sunday. I made my grandma a card and a second one for a gift from my self, my parents and uncles/aunts. Here they are!  Oh, and her favorite color is Red ... LOL just like mine!

Here is another that I created shortly after the above cards, while I was bored sitting at home!

Ok ... I'm sitting at 44 followers! Almost at 50!! Please share so I can reach my goal and move on to 100 followers! I'm now here to stay, so I'll be posting about every other day! I will also be starting a challenge next Monday!

 I also have started messing around with Digital Layouts with the MySuitesV3 Program ... I think it's easier to use the V2 version!

Here are some that I have completed for Colorful Creations

Challenges ... We have roughly around 20 or more "Events" (Challenges) each month that are created by fellow followers that are recruited for the Design Team (DT's) ... I was trying out for a DT position last year, but then I got sick and was diagnosed with cancer. I am still fighting it thanks to some missed tissues during a surgery to remove my cervics due to Cervical Cancer and now I also have a tumor in my right leg called an "Enchrondroma" which might be changing. Very painful but manageable right now. I'll be seeing a specialist with in the next couple of weeks to do further testing, until then I will be completing challenges by these wonderful ladies and gentlemen!

Here are a couple of the LO's that I have completed:

This one I did in honor of my son :) He is my Lil Fish! He was always asking to go in the pool :)  He is such a sweet little boy!

 This one is one of my favorites ... I was in Washington State for a couple of months while my husband was deployed. During that time, my Grandfather had passed away on Easter Sunday, so after his funeral ( about 2 weeks after) my Grandmother wanted to do a family BBQ.  All of my Uncles, Aunts, my Parents and my Brother and his Fiance came. This is a picture of our family :)

 My Lil Star ... My youngest son, John "JC", (also pictured above) loves posing for the camara ... The camara loves him :)

This LO was created for an "Inspired By" Challenge, the Inspiration that was chosen was a German Chocolate Cake ... LOL ... So I took the caramel and chocolate colors and mixed them, I also took the shininess of the caramel and through in some glitter splashes behind the picture and framing the picture. There is journaling in one the stars, the lower right star.

Ok now on to some more exciting news ...

Creations ... and a giveaway!

Good Afternoon!!

Here are a few digitals that I finished! I'm trying to figure out how to do more stuff with the program lol...

I love this one, I did it for CC's "Fabulous Fall" Challenge! I love the center pic, It's so beautiful I thought, it shows the beautiful fall colors for sure lol ...oh and my reasons why I love fall on the right side :)

This one I did just for the heck of it, because I love my hubby. I love doing pages that have either both of us or just my hubby in it! He's so cute ... I miss him sooo much! Only 5 more months till he comes home though!!! I can't wait!!!!

Well that's all for now, I'm currently working on one now oh and PLEASE don't forget I'm almost at my 50 followers Giveaway!!!! ONLY 9 More followers needed!! and I'll be bringing back my challenges! My Memories Challenge Entry

Good Morning All!!

I know it's been a while since I've done a post, but I've been really sick and dealing with family problems .. Ugh I wish it would just go away lol ... But I have gotten back into my scrapbooking and card making!

Just a lil announcement:  I am currently building my website to sell my hand made JEWELRY, CARDS, and Altered Art ( Picture frames, bedroom letters, decorative art, etc... )  I'm hoping to have my site up within the next month or sooner! ( I hope lol ) ... I will post a link to my website and give a lil intro after it's ready! So please check back often to see if it's up!!

I did this one just a few minutes ago for the My Memories "No Faces" Challenge that is on their blog!
I used different elements and created my own instead of using a template ... uses more creativity lol ...

This one I did for the Colorful Creations challenge website. They are all about fighting Breast Cancer!
I love this LO! They are all digital but I still do paper as well! ... I've just been getting up to speed with digital scrapbooking! Well here it is: It's my Hubby and I! I used a whole bunch of different elements to create this one ... there are gold stars, bling, bling flowers, brads and glass brads on this one to create a neat effect around the pics and in the frame! I hope you all like it! It took me a while to do this one, I had to get all the little pieces the right size lol ...

Well there you go! I'll have more up later today! I have created an entire album!!

Just moved into our new 2 bedroom apartment, well actually just finished! You know in less than a year I was sooo surprised on how much stuff I had collected! lol ... the 2 bedroom is soo much smaller than the 3 bedroom we were in! :) but our living room is bigger in this one ;)
But ... Now we are all getting sick :( I think they are chest colds but I kinda feel it in my head to but my chest does hurt and i'm starting to cough and wheeze! I hope I don't have to go to the doctors!

Well I'm hoping to have some projects to show in a day or so ... I am currently working on a mini chip board album that I'm sending to my husband ... I miss him sooo much! I pray about him and all the other soldiers over there fighting for freedom!! I pray that they all stay safe and return home soon!! My husband still has about 6 months left :( At least we are half way through the deployment but things still aren't the same here with out him!

Well I'm heading to bed now! My NyQuil kicked in! I'm so tired! so GOOD NIGHT EVERYONE!

Fancy Folds Card Challenge Creation

Well over at Stamp-n-Doodle there is a "Fancy Folds" Challenge. Here is what I came up with for the challenge! I like it, I think it's cute :) 


I used Vellum quotes and a Digi Stamp from a Clip Art site, sadly I can not remember which one it was from :( I'm sorry.  I love pearls and flowers so naturally I used them to. I used papers from a stack set from Wal-Mart ( I thought it was cute!) They were glitter infused papers. I embosed the flowers in the right corner under the Vellum quote and put tiny brads in the middle and attached a piece of pink ribbon on the bottom of the vellum.

This card was so easy to do, I was really surprised!
I really hope you all like the card, I know I do :)
